Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care aims to develop management and leadership knowledge and skills in the health and social care sector. Leaders and managers provide effective managerial and leadership direction to the care organisation to enhance healthcare. The course addresses global needs within health and social care sector especially competencies in the management and leadership, human resources, finance, service delivery, strategies, and healthcare policies. You will also able to learn how to manage and implement change for the global sustainability in the health and social care and manage healthcare systems. It provides learners with an opportunity to engage with the challenges facing professionals, services users and policymakers in their own country.

The qualification is a regulated in England on Regulated Qualification Framework at the Postgraduate level (RQF Level 7) to provide knowledge that underpins the ability to work as an effective manager in the hospitals, health or social care industry. It combines both theoretical and practical knowledge in the health and social care professionals. The qualification will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in leading change, effective performance, planning and accountability, development and team leadership. 

Successful completion of the Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification enables learners to progress for a managerial, CEO or directorship role or any senior management position. The learners can also continue their study to achieve a Master’s degree at the dissertation stage (with credit transfer).

 

Qualification Structure 

Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care includes the following 6 units. Each unit has 20 credits, and at the end of the course, learners will achieve 120 credits.

Qualification Accreditation, International Recognition and Equivalence

Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care is approved and regulated by OfQual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulator in England, UK). The qualification is accredited at Regulated Qualifications Framework at Level 7, representing practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competencies assessed in academic terms as equivalent to the UK Master’s Degree level.

The Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN) is 610/1483/7.

The Qualification Certificates will include the regulator 'Ofqual' - regulated logo with number to represent its accreditation in England, UK.

    The aim of this unit is to develop learners’ research skills to include understanding different research approaches, formulation of research proposals, planning research activity, analysing and interpreting data, and the relationship between research and evidence based practice.
